COLOMBIA
Not quite the country depicted on Netflix. With some of the worlds number one travel destinations and others up and coming. Colombia offers a Caribbean coastline, tropical islands, proper jungle and a sad history. Its budget friendly and our favourite stop so far, Colombia is not to be missed.

WHEN TO VISIT

Due to its location close to the equator the temperature in Colombia changes by altitude not necessarily the time of year.
December - February | Peak season where the temperature is perfect everywhere (25-30 degree's) apart from the Amazon. The Colombians love the beach and their holidays so this time of year is busy so book in advance.

March - September | Shoulder season rainfall changes dramatically by region but you can take advantage of the quieter beaches and price drop.

October - November | Peak rainy season, though like anywhere tropical check before you travel, there may be a bargain to be had.
